Have you ever dreamed of running, running, running through the night, your skin on fire and kissed by cool winds? Did you ever dream of flying or turning to smoke or dancing with the shadows? Did you ever dream about killing those who are different, streaking after their running forms, looking at the trail of blood and flesh in their wake, listening to their coughing breaths as they try not to choke on the blood they have consumed?
Were those dreams always nightmares?
The City which cradled the Breed is gone; the prophecy is true. They have been driven from their safety, to seek something that Baphomet thinks they must find. Small groups of the whole have been sent to search, while the original prophet watches over the majority of what is left of the last tribes of the Moon. The search parties are guided by the invisible hand of their wounded god, and in their quest to learn what they must learn and find what they must find, it is no great surprise that they have discovered more hidden Breed along the way.
But the Breed are not the only ones hunting for something. From the darkness and flames of the place the Nightbreed once called home, a burned and angry hand lifted a tortured man from the ground. A crusader for those who would murder the Breed, exterminating them in the name of all that is good and holy, the blood of Baphomet that was spilled upon him now links him to the Breed. He sends his faithful far and wide to destroy them and to find what they are looking for. To stop them. To do God's work. To end his nightmares.
Gather here, in this place, knowing that Baphomet has moved the hand of fate to make this so, and watch the faces of those around you; some are masks, hiding monsters inside. Whether those monsters are human or Breed can only be divined by you.
Costuming is encouraged but will not guarantee any specific roles. This game could be gory and violent: please plan accordingly. No previous knowledge of the game world or system is required, but if you are interested, please feel free to watch the movie, Nightbreed, on which this game is based.
